What's Next in Hokaru?
What's next in Hokaru?
Well here's where you find out.
Here we'll be posting things we'll be adding to the region, including Pokemon, bits of the plot, up and coming events and giveaways, and everything in between!
Also, this is where YOU Get to share your ideas!
What do you want to see next?
Do you want some sort of complex battle system?
Do you want the region to be expanded and let there be more gyms?
Should we add RPs into the actual WiFi League?
What do YOU, the players, want to be done in Hokaru?
What's next?
WHAT ACTUALLY /IS/ NEXT!
Coming soon:
-A brand new Region called Hokaru!
-An evil organization, called Team...what? o:
-All new gyms (except Kaede, she likes her gym.)
-New rivals, as you fight for survival! Haha.
-A Role Play version of Hokaru, just for you people who don't have WiFi! Of course, others can participate.
-Giveaways of some of your favorite Pokemon, and those you can't stand!
-An EV Training Tutorial, brought to you by some "experts" from Smogon, Serebiiforums, and even from TPC!
-So much more!
Keep checking this post for updates!

Re: What's Next in Hokaru?
Andrew, how the heck did you make and EV and IV guide? Aren't they really complicated?
And as for they gyms, how can there be more? Don't we have it set up as one for every type?

*Shrug* Personally, I don't find EV training too complicated. I was able to explain it in one post.
...Badly, I might add.

Personally, I think Team Rocket should be brought back.
Edit: And not just Jesse and James.

Re: What's Next in Hokaru?
First:
EV/IV guides take a little time to write, but they're extremely helpful and make EV training a breeze. :3
Second:
We're sticking with the 12 gyms we have right now. If we get more people, we may expand it to 17 gyms. Right now, I don't think so, considering I have to find a place on my handy-dandy map to squeeze in Gym 12 *forgot to draw it* ;3;
Third:
We're going to do an evil team, but we need ideas for a name. I was thinking Team Zephyr, but that sounds stupid. |:

Re: What's Next in Hokaru?
Well, does Hokaru follow some storyline, even if it's only basic?
Is there some point where players need to face the evil guys before they can challenge more gyms? Or do evil guys have some special powers so they can not be ignored?
The name should kinda be based on what their purpose is in the game. If they are only playing nice and there is no real need to even fight them we could even call them team hugglez. The boss would have to fight with 6 baby pokemon then.

Re: What's Next in Hokaru?
More serious, two "evil" teams I thought of.
Team Elements. They fight using only Ice/Water/Fire/Grass/Electricity.
You need to beat the leader to be able to use Eevee and any of the Eeveelutions.
Team Origin. Their mission is to unlock the mysteries of the prehistoric past. They are a group of scientists and archeologists gone mad. The archeologists use mainly pokemon like Rhyperior (which they should nickname Tunneler), Sandslash (Named Escavater), Crobat (Sonar/Radar) and Machamp (Lifter or something like that).
The scientists use mostly what Team Rocket scientists used. Muk, Weezing, Magnezone, but we could give it a twist and add some more fun stuff.
The bosses would use the fossil pokemon and the "semi-fossils".
After beating the teamleader, players are able to also use these pokemon and they need to continuesly beat the team boss to get all the pokemon they want. These are the real fossils and the semi-fossils. With that I mean stuff like Relicanth, Bronzong, etc. Just anything that looks old. Just adds a little meaning to having the team.
And we could also have a small group of guys in each team who are "agressive". As in, the archeologists step up and challenge random trainers, claiming they stole their fossils or ruined their cave or stuff like that. They can steal 1 star when they win but when they lose, the player wins 3. They always carry 3-6 pokemon, and they can only challenge trainers who have just as many pokemon on their team as they have.
The same can be done for the Team Elements, who challenge players because they upset the player have been upsetting the balance between the elements or something like that.
